Been around the world, guitar in my hand Seen a lot places, don't understand      Why baby... I got these China Doll Blues I tried sleeping, all day long I drank my whiskey, dusk till dawn     But baby...I still got these China Doll Blues I'm a bad boy, you know I been around And I know girls in almost every town     (Chorus)     Not sure what happened, just one of those things     I got a bad, case of the blues, when I left Ol' Nanjing. I tried so hard, to keep my cool It just don't matter, I'm a love sick fool    (Chorus) I can take em, or leave em, it's dis or dat I can love and leave em, at the drop of a hat    But not you... (Chorus)     Not sure what happened, just one of those things     I got a bad, case of the blues, when I left Ol' Nanjing.     Somebody call the Doctor, and tell her the news     That I've come down with a real bad case, of them China Doll Blues

Miss Jane Kitty, she gave me the blues Miss Jane Kitty, she gave me the blues Miss Jane Kitty, she gave me the blues Ain't life funny, Lord I got my walkin' shoes. If I could turn back the hands of time If I could turn back the hands of time If I could turn back the hands of time I'd love Miss Jane Kitty one just more time. Lord knows I'm just a ramblin' man Lord knows I'm just a ramblin' man Lord knows I'm just a ramblin' man Tryin' to make in this world, the best I can. I'm sitting here wonderin' why I'm all alone I'm sitting here wonderin' why I'm all alone I'm sitting here wonderin' why I'm all alone I guess it's cause I'm just a rolling stone. I can hang my hat, anywhere I choose I can hang my hat, anywhere I choose I can hang my hat, anywhere I choose Miss Jane Kitty, she gave me the blues

Honey, ain't life funny, Got no bread, got no money, Got nobody, funny, I'm in love I know, I gotta go, But baby, I want you to know I ain't got nobody, funny how I'm in love I never knew, you would break heart Now me and you, we must be apart Baby, you drive me crazy, And some, some day maybe You'll see, it's funny, but I'm in love. - Solo - Bridge - Why, why oh why, do I I try to define This funny thing, I'm in love One day, one day baby, You say, one day maybe, It's funny, funny but were in love

You're A Hit 03:14

about

It was October 16, 2014 and Kenny Wayne, Tim Williams and Brandon Isaak were all performing at The Klondike Roots & Blues Festival in Whitehorse, Yukon. This is a 2 day festival produced by Brandon in his home town. The idea struck Brandon to keep the hotels room for a couple extra nights and hit the studio with producer Chris Isaak. For the next 2 days the guys hung out in Blue-Star Studios and recorded 12 impromptu, live off the floor songs featuring 4 songs from each performer. Most of this session is straight off the floor except a few bells and whistles that the Isaak brothers added after the guys left town. It's one of those rare times when the stars just line up and everything just seems to fall into place. This recording is the result of 3 bluesmen crossing paths and having a conversation in the blues.
